Your dog-friendly hotel in Tyrol? Awaits you in Kitzbühel!

(very important pups)

They know you better than most people ever could. They sense your mood before you do. And now they should be left at home?
No way.
At Schlosshotel Kitzbühel, we’re fluent in “dog”. We understand the look that says: “May I?” We know the ritual of exploring. And the sound of paws padding across the Schlosshotel floors? Pure music to our ears.
With us, there are no “dog rooms”. There are suites for companions. And while other hotels have rigid “This is how dogs must behave here!” rules, we prefer understanding – with a few simple guidelines to make holidays especially enjoyable for both two-legged and four-legged guests.
Schlosshotel has seen countless stories unfold. Some of the most beautiful ones have had wagging tails at their heart.

The basics, sorted

Bowls are already waiting in your room or suite: one for water, one for food. The basket may be brand new, but it’s wonderfully snug to curl up in after a day with the two-legged folk. Staying at Schlosshotel is €45.00 a night, neatly added to your owners’ bill at reception – nothing for you to worry about.

Sometimes your humans leave for dinner without you. That’s when someone pops by to take you out for a walk. Or two. All they need to do is ring Melanie to arrange our dog-sitting service.

The meadow in front of the castle

Step through the big castle doors, cross the moat, turn right, and slip through the little gate – there it is. A meadow packed with messages. Nose to the ground, tail wagging, you tug on the leash. Come on, hurry up. Who’s been here? When? Male, female, young, old? You read the news in the grass. And best of all? The leash comes off in the meadow. At last. You dash, chase, or simply potter from bush to bush. Rolling in the grass is an excellent idea too – until your coat’s full of stalks. Your human laughs. Or groans: “Not the rolling, Willi, not the rolling!” But who listens? It’s a holiday, after all.

Then the others turn up. The gentle-eyed Golden Retriever from the lift yesterday. The cheeky Dachshund from the golf course. Your ritual starts: tails up, paws down, a friendly woof – and you’re off. This dog-friendly hotel in Tyrol easily earns five golden woofs.

Out and about on four paws

The paths around Kitzbühel smell different. Of deer, moss, and mountain snow. Your nose works overtime. And the huts … what treasures they hide! Bits of ham, sausage, sometimes even a whole frankfurter. On a lucky day, half a dumpling. In winter you disappear into the snow, belly-deep. That’s the best thing ever. Well – just behind mealtimes and cuddles.
